How it works
You talk, we talk back
No multiple choice, no vocabulary drills. A tutor asks you things and you answer in your own words.
Correction as you go
Say something a little wrong and the tutor says it back correctly, then keeps the conversation moving.
Every fifth level is a scene
Order a coffee, argue about a deadline, ask for a raise. Score well enough and the next level opens.
The path
Five units, A1 to C1. Four lessons then a boss fight, five times over.
- 01A1
First Words
Say who you are, name what's around you, and order a coffee.
- 02A2
Getting Around
Find your way, talk about yesterday, and make a plan.
- 03B1
Making It Work
Give an opinion, describe a problem, and fix it out loud.
- 04B2
Reading the Room
Disagree politely, tell a story well, and meet in the middle.
- 05C1
Sharp Edges
Idiom, register, persuasion, and the timing of a joke.
Or skip the curriculum
Real-world scenes, unlocked from the start. Pick how hard your partner pushes back.
- Coffee Shop Rush
- Job Interview
- Airport Check-in
- Doctor's Visit
- Sending Food Back
- Networking Party
- Hotel Check-in
- Catching Up With an Old Friend
Fair questions
- Is it free?
- The app holds no API keys and makes no model calls of its own — the tutor runs on a Kinetica backend, and whoever hosts that pays for it. Nothing here bills you.
- Do I need an account?
- Yes, for the lessons. Signing in is what lets the tutor keep your conversation, so Learn, Practice, Progress and Profile all sit behind it. Your levels and streak are still stored in this browser, not on a server.
- Where's my data?
- In your browser, and nowhere else. That does mean clearing your browser clears your progress — so there's an export button on the progress page. Use it.
- Will it judge my accent?
- It can't — this is typing, not speaking. It judges what you write, against your own level, not against a native speaker.
Your tutor is waiting.
Level one starts with your name. That's it. That's the whole barrier to entry.
